Chambers County Saddle Club Meeting
February 6, 2009

Ric Smith opened the meeting with a prayer. The minutes and treasury report from the last meeting were read and approved. Thecurrent treasury report was no available.

Old Business

Lynn suggested to the club to get some pictures and information up to put on the website. Wendell reported that the website is being redone by Duncan Services. Mr.Duncan was not satisfied with the first lay out. Wendell put out the flyers about the clinic in the Auburn/Opelika area. Wendell needs to know ASAP if anyone in the saddle club wants to enter the clinic. He wants the members to have first chance at a spot. Ed Allen could not be at the meeting to discuss the cattle for the team pennings.

New Business

Shon drafted a release and waiver form for the club. There has been a problem lately with members of the saddle club bringing people to the arena to ride. They have been told this is not allowed. This waiver will help protect the saddle club as well as the county arena. Tommy has ask that no one use the arena on Thursday April 2, 2009. This is the Thursday night before the rodeo and they will be working at the arena all that week. The meeting was adjourned.

There were 22 members present.

Next meeting will be Tuesday night March 3rd at 6:30 PM.

A waiver form is enclosed with this newsletter for all members that were not present at the meeting. Please sign this form and return it to the club secretary to keep on file.

All clubs are required to work at the EAHA Fund Raiser Shows. There are four this year ( April 4, May 30, June 20 and August 22). We need two members for each show to work the gate for two hours. If we do not have someone there we will be fined.
